{"fatawa":{"id":187,"title":"Is it prescribed to send blessings upon the angels?","slug":"is-it-prescribed-to-send-blessings-upon-the-angels","order":"","question":"Is it permissible to send blessings upon the angels because of their virtue and high status?.","answer":"<div class=\"answer\">\r\n<div class=\"answer\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Praise be to Allaah. <\/span>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">It is prescribed to send blessings upon the angels by saying &ldquo; &lsquo;Alayhim al-salaatu wa&rsquo;l- salaam (upon them be blessings and peace)&rdquo; and &ldquo; &lsquo;alayhim al-salaam (upon them be peace)&rdquo;, because they are honourable, devoted worshippers and one of the creations of Allaah whom Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, favoured over others as He says:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>&ldquo;They [whom they call children of Allaah i.e. the angels, &lsquo;Eesa (Jesus) __ son of Maryam (Mary), &lsquo;Uzayr (Ezra)], are but honoured slaves&rdquo;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>[al-Anbiya&rsquo; 21:26]&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>&ldquo;But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>11.&nbsp;Kiraaman (Honourable) Kaatibeen &mdash;writing down (your deeds)&rdquo;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>[al-Infitaar 82:10,11]&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>&ldquo;In the hands of scribes (angels).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>16.&nbsp;Honourable and obedient&rdquo;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><em>[&lsquo;Abasa 80:15, 16]<\/em>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">They have a particular status, virtue and honour, so it is prescribed to send blessings upon them, and there is no reason not to do so, rather it is prescribed.
