Dr. Jeffrey Lang is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Kansas, one of the biggest universities in the United States.  He started his religious journey on Jan 30, 1954, when he was born in a Roman Catholic family in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  The first 18 years of his life were spent in Catholic schools, which left him with many unanswered questions about God and the Christian religion, Lang said, as he narrated his story of Islam.  “Like most kids back in the late 60s and early 70s, I started questioning all the values that we had at those times, political, social and religious,” Lang said.  “I rebelled against all the institutions that society held sacred, including the Catholic Church,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

By the time he reached the age of 18, Lang had become a full-fledged atheist.  “If there is a God, and He is all merciful and all loving, then why is there suffering on this earth? Why does not He just take us to heaven? Why create all these people to suffer?” Such were the questions that came up in his mind in those days.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

As a young lecturer in mathematics at San Francisco University, Lang found his religion where God is finally a reality.  That was shown to him by a few of the Muslim friends he had met at the university.  “We talked about religion.  I asked them my questions, and I was really surprised by how carefully they had thought out their answers,” Lang said.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Dr. Lang met Mahmoud Qandeel, a regal looking Saudi student who attracted the attention of the entire class the moment he walked in.  When Lang asked a question about medical research, Qandeel answered the question in perfect English and with great self assurance.  Everyone knew Qandeel – the  mayor, the police chief and the common people.  Together the professor and the student went to all the glittering places where “there was no joy or happiness, only laughter.” Yet at the end, Qandeel surprisingly gave him a copy of the Quran and some books on Islam.  Lang read the Quran on his own, found his way to the student-run prayer hall at the university, and basically surrendered without much struggle.  He was conquered by the Quran.  The first two chapters are an account of that encounter and it is a fascinating one.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Painters can make the eyes of a portrait appear to be following you from one place to another, but which author can write a scripture that anticipates your daily vicissitudes?...  Each night I would formulate questions and objections and somehow discover the answer the next day.  It seemed that the author was reading my ideas and writing in the appropriate lines in time for my next reading.  I have met myself in its pages...”<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang performs the daily five-time prayers regularly and finds much spiritual satisfaction.  He finds the Fajr (pre-dawn) prayer as one of the most beautiful and moving rituals in Islam.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

To the question how he finds it so captivating when the recitation of the Quran is in Arabic, which is totally foreign to him, he responds; “Why is a baby comforted by his mother’s voice?”  He said reading the Quran gave him a great deal of comfort and strength in difficult times.  From there on, faith was a matter of practice for Lang’s spiritual growth.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

On the other hand, Lang pursued a career in mathematics.  He received his master’s and doctoral degrees from Purdue University.  Lang said that he had always been fascinated by mathematics.  “Math is logical.  It consists of using facts and figures to find concrete answers,” Lang said.  “That is the way my mind works, and it is frustrating when I deal with things that do not have concrete answerers.”  Having a mind that accepts ideas on their factual merit makes believing in a religion difficult because most religions require acceptance by faith, he said.  Islam appeals to man’s reasoning, he said.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

As faculty advisor for the Muslim Student Association, Lang said he viewed himself as the liaison between the students and their universities.  He gets approval from university authorities to hold Islamic lectures.  “The object of being their faculty advisor is to help them get their needs met as far as adjusting to the American culture and to procedures of the university.  They appreciate the opportunity to have misconceptions corrected,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang married a Saudi Muslim woman, Raika, 12 years ago.  Lang has written several Islamic books which are best sellers among the Muslim community in the US.  One of his important books is “Even Angels ask; A Journey to Islam in America”.  In this book, Dr. Lang shares with his readers the many insights that have unfolded for him through his self discovery and progress within the religion of Islam.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

El .  . Jeffrey Lang es un Profesor Asociado de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Kansas, una de las más grandes universidades de los Estados Unidos. Comenzó su viaje religioso el 30 de enero de 1954, cuando nació en una familia católica romana en Bridgeport, Connecticut. Los primeros 18 años de su vida los pasó en escuelas católicas, que lo dejaron con muchas preguntas sin respuestas acerca de Dios y de la religión cristiana, Lang dijo, al narrar la historia del Islam. “Como muchos niños en los 60 y los 70, comencé a cuestionarme todos los valores que teníamos en esos momentos, políticos, sociales y religiosos”, dijo Lang. “Me revelé en contra de todas las instituciones que la sociedad creía sagradas, incluyendo la iglesia católica”, dijo.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

A los 18 años, Lang era totalmente ateo. “Si hay un dios, y es misericordioso y amoroso, ¿Por qué hay sufrimiento en la tierra?  ¿Por qué simplemente no nos lleva al cielo?  ¿Por qué crear a todas estas personas para sufrir?” Esas eran las preguntas que venían a mi mente en esos días.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Como un joven profesor universitario en la Universidad de San Francisco, Lang encontró su religión donde Dios es finalmente una realidad. Eso fue demostrado por algunos amigos musulmanes que conoció en la universidad. “Hablábamos acerca de religión. Les hacía preguntas, y realmente me sorprendía como pensaban y analizaban sus respuestas”, dijo Lang.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

El .  . Lang conoció a Mahmoud Qandil, un elegante estudiante Saudita que llamaba la atención de toda la clase cuando pasaba. Cuando Lang le hizo una pregunta acerca de una investigación médica, Qandil respondió en perfecto inglés y muy seguro. Todos conocían a Qandil,- el alcalde, el jefe de policía y las personas comunes y corrientes. Juntos el profesor y el estudiante iban a todos los lugares donde “no había alegría o felicidad, solo risas”. Incluso así al final, Qandil lo sorprendió entregándole una copia del Corán y algunos libros sobre el Islam. Lang leyó el Corán por su cuenta, se dirigió al hall de plegarias de la Universidad, y básicamente se rindió sin mucha lucha. Fue vencido por el Corán. Los primeros dos capítulos hablan del encuentro que es algo fascinante.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Los pintores pueden hacer que los ojos de un retrato simulen estar siguiéndote de un lugar a otro, pero ¿Qué autor puede escribir una escritura que anticipe tus altibajos diarios?... Cada noche formulaba preguntas y objeciones y de alguna manera descubría la respuesta al día siguiente. Parecía que el autor leía mis ideas y escrituras en las siguientes líneas a tiempo para mi próxima lectura. Me encontraba en esas paginas…”<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang realiza las cinco oraciones diarias regularmente y encuentra mucha satisfacción espiritual. Encuentra que la oración del Fayr (antes del amanecer)  es uno de los rituales más hermosos y conmovedores en el Islam.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

A la pregunta de cómo lo encuentra tan cautivante cuando el recitado del Corán es en árabe, una lengua totalmente extraña para él, responde: “¿Cómo un bebe se calma con la voz de su ma.  e?” dijo que leer el Corán le dio un gran confort y fuerza en tiempos difíciles. Desde ese entonces, la fe fue un tema de práctica para el crecimiento espiritual de Lang.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Por otro lado, Lang prosiguió su carrera en matemáticas. Recibió sus títulos  master y doctorado de la Universidad Purdue. Lang dijo que siempre le habían fascinado las matemáticas. “Las matemáticas son lógicas. Consiste en utilizar hechos y números para encontrar respuestas concretas”, dijo Lang. “De este modo trabaja mi mente”. Con una mente que acepta ideas a través de sus méritos fácticos hace que creer en una religión sea algo difícil porque la mayoría de las religiones requieren aceptación a través de la fe. El Islam busca el razonamiento del hombre, dijo.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Como consejero universitario de la Asociación de Estudiantes musulmanes,  Lang dice que se veía a sí mismo como enlace entre los estudiantes y sus universidades. Obtiene aprobación de las autoridades universitarias para realizar conferencias islámicas. “El objetivo de ser el consejero universitario es el de ayudar a satisfacer sus necesidades para adaptarse a la cultura americana y los procedimientos de la universidad. Ellos aprecian la oportunidad de que se corrijan las malas impresiones”, dijo.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang se caso con una musulmana Saudita, Raika, hace 12 años. Lang ha escrito varios libros islámicos que son best-seller entre las comunidades musulmanes en USA. Uno de sus libros mas importantes es “Even Angels ask; A Journey to Islam in America<\/em>”.  En este libro, el .  . Le docteur Jeffrey Lang est professeur à la faculté de mathématiques de l’Université du Kansas, l’une des plus grandes des États-Unis.  Il est né le 30 janvier 1954, à Bridgeport, Connecticut, au sein d’une famille catholique romaine.  Il a fréquenté des écoles catholiques jusqu’à l’âge de 18 ans et il en est sorti avec de nombreuses questions sans réponses sur Dieu et sur la religion chrétienne.  Racontant l’histoire de sa conversion à l’islam, Lang dit : « Comme la plupart des jeunes, vers la fin des années soixante et le début des années soixante-dix, j’ai commencé à remettre en question les valeurs de l’époque, valeurs politiques, sociales et religieuses. »  Il poursuit : « Je me suis rebellé contre toutes les institutions que la société tenait pour sacrées, l’Église catholique y compris. »<\/span><\/p>\r\n

À l’âge de 18 ans, Lang était déjà un athéiste à part entière.  « Si Dieu existe et qu’Il est miséricordieux et aimant, alors pourquoi toutes ces souffrances dans le monde?  Pourquoi ne nous envoie-t-Il pas tous directement au Paradis?  Pourquoi créer toutes ces personnes pour les faire souffrir? »  Telles étaient les questions qui habitaient son esprit, à l’époque.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

C’est alors qu’il était jeune chargé de cours en mathématiques, à l’Université de San Francisco, que Lang trouva un mode de vie où Dieu devint finalement une réalité.  C’est en faisant la rencontre de musulmans, à l’université, qu’il découvrit sa voie.  Il raconte : « Nous discutions de religion.  Je leur posais des questions et j’étais réellement surpris du soin qu’ils prenaient à répondre, après avoir bien réfléchi. »<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang rencontra Mahmoud Qandil, un étudiant saoudien aux allures royales qui attirait l’attention de toute la classe chaque fois qu’il y mettait les pieds.  Lorsque Lang lui posa une question sur la recherche médicale, Qandil lui répondit dans un anglais parfait et avec beaucoup d’assurance.  Tout le monde connaissait Qandil – le maire, le chef de police et les citoyens.  Ensemble, le professeur et l’étudiant fréquentèrent tous les endroits éclatants où « il n’y avait ni joie ni bonheur, que des rires. »  Pourtant, et étonnamment, avant son départ, Qandil lui remit une copie du Coran et quelques livres sur l’islam.  Lang lut le Coran, se rendit à la salle de prières de l’université et se soumit sans peine.  Il venait d’être conquis par le Coran.  Il raconte :<\/span><\/p>\r\n

 « Certains peintres arrivent à donner l’illusion que les yeux d’un portrait vous suivent dans une pièce; mais quel auteur peut écrire un ouvrage qui anticipe vos vicissitudes quotidiennes? ...  Chaque soir, je me posais des questions, ou bien je formulais des objections auxquelles je trouvais des réponses le lendemain.  Il me semblait que l’auteur [du Coran] lisait mes pensées et écrivait au fur et à mesure les mots appropriés qui m’attendaient à ma lecture suivante.  Je me retrouvais dans ces pages... »<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang accomplit assidûment ses cinq prières quotidiennes et y trouve une grande satisfaction spirituelle.  Selon lui, la prière du fajr (i.e. la prière de l’aube) est l’un des plus beaux et plus émouvants rituels de l’islam.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lorsqu’on lui demande comment il peut trouver la récitation du Coran aussi fascinante alors qu’il ne comprend pas l’arabe, il répond : « Un bébé n’est-il pas réconforté par la voix de sa mère? »  Il raconte que la lecture du Coran lui a apporté beaucoup de réconfort et de courage dans les moments difficiles.  À partir de là, il lui a fallu mettre sa foi en pratique pour pouvoir grandir spirituellement.  <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Par ailleurs, Lang a poursuivi une carrière en mathématiques.  Il a reçu sa maîtrise et son doctorat de l’Université Purdue.  Lang raconte avoir toujours été fasciné par les mathématiques : « Les mathématiques, c’est de la logique, et elles consistent à utiliser des faits et des chiffres pour trouver des réponses concrètes. (...)  C’est ainsi que fonctionne mon esprit et je trouve frustrant de composer avec des choses qui n’ont pas de réponses concrètes. »  Selon Lang, posséder un esprit qui n’accepte les idées que si elles sont basées sur des faits rend difficile le fait de croire en une religion, car la plupart des religions demandent à être acceptées uniquement sur la base de la foi, tandis que l’islam fait appel à la capacité de raisonnement de l’homme.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

En tant que professeur-conseiller pour l’association étudiante musulmane, Lang se voit comme un lien entre les étudiants et leur université.  Il demande et obtient la permission des autorités universitaires pour tenir des conférences islamiques.  Il dit : « En étant leur professeur-conseiller, je peux les aider à faire en sorte qu’on réponde à leurs besoins, à s’adapter à la culture américaine et aux procédures des universités.  Ils apprécient avoir la possibilité d’amener les gens à réviser leurs idées-reçues. »<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Il y a douze ans, Jeffrey Lang a épousé une saoudienne, Raika.  Il est l’auteur de plusieurs livres sur l’islam, qui sont des best-sellers dans la communauté musulmane américaine.  L’un de ses plus populaires s’intitule « Even Angels ask; a journey to islam in America » (Même les anges posent des questions : histoire d’un cheminement vers l’islam aux États-Unis).  Dans ce livre, Lang partage avec ses lecteurs les nombreuses idées qui se sont révélées à lui au cours de son cheminement vers l’islam.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Dr. Jeffrey Lang ist ein außerordentlicher Professor der Mathematik an der Universität von Kansas, einer der größten Universitäten der Vereinigten Staaten.  Er begann seine religiöse Reise am 30.Januar 1954 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, als er in eine Römisch-Katholische Familie hineingeboren wurde.  Die ersten 18 Jahre seines Lebens verbrachte er in katholischen Schulen, die ihn mit vielen unbeantworteten Fragen über Gott und die christliche Religion allein ließen.  Lang sagte, als er seine Geschichte zum Islam erzählte: \"Wie die meisten Kinder in den 60ern und frühen 70ern begann ich, alle die Werte zu hinterfragen, die wir zu jenen Zeiten hatten, politische, gesellschaftliche und religiöse.  Ich rebellierte gegen all diese Institutionen, die von der Gesellschaft für heilig gehalten wurden, einschließlich der katholischen Kirche.\" <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Als junger Dozent in Mathematik an der San Franzisko Universität fand Lang schließlich seine Religion, in der Gott tatsächlich Wirklichkeit ist.  Dies wurde ihm von den wenigen muslimischen Freunden gezeigt, die er an der Universität getroffen hatte.  \"Wir unterhielten uns über Religion.  Ich stellte ihnen meine Fragen, und ich war wirklich überrascht, wie sorgfältig durchdacht ihre Antworten waren\", sagte Lang. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Dr. Lang traf Mahmoud Qandeel, einen prächtig aussehenden saudischen Studenten, der, als er den Klassenraum betrat, die Aufmerksamkeit der gesamten Klasse auf sich zog.  Als Lang ihm eine Frage über medizinische Forschung stellte, beantwortete Qandeel die Frage in perfektem Englisch und mit größer Selbstsicherheit.  Jedermann kannte Qandeel – der Bürgermeister, der Polizeichef und die gewöhnlichen Leute.  Zusammen gingen der Professor und der Student zu allen verlockenden Orten, wo \"es keine Freude oder Glück gab, nur Gelächter.\"  Schließlich gab Qandeel ihm überraschenderweise eine Übersetzung des Qur´an und ein paar Bücher über den Islam.  Lang las den Qur´an alleine, fand seinen Weg zum Studentengebetsraum der Universität und überzeugte sich im Grunde genommen ohne große Anstrengungen selbst.  Er war vom Qur´an eingenommen worden.  Die ersten beiden Kapitel berichten von dieser Begegnung und zwar ganz faszinierend. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Maler können die Augen eines Portraits so malen, dass sie dich zu verfolgen scheinen, egal wohin du dich bewegst, von einem Platz zum nächsten, aber welcher Autor kann ein Schriftstück verfassen, das sich an deine täglichen Wechsel anpasst? ...   Jede Nacht formulierte ich Fragen und Entgegnungen und irgendwie entdeckte ich die Antwort darauf am nächsten Tag.  Es schien so, als würde der Autor meine Gedanken lesen und die entsprechenden Zeilen für mich vorbereiten.  Ich habe mich auf diesen Seiten wiedergefunden… \" <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang verrichtet die fünf täglichen Gebete und findet darin viel spirituelle Befriedigung.  Er hält das Fagrgebet (das Gebet vor Sonnenaufgang) für eines der schönsten und bewegendsten Rituale im Islam. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Auf die Frage, warum er es so faszinierend findet, wenn die Qur´anrezitation auf Arabisch ist, was ihm völlig fremd ist, antwortete er: \"Warum wird ein Baby von der Stimme seiner Mutter getröstet?\"  Er sagte, das Qur´anlesen hat ihm in schwierigen Zeiten viel Trost und Stärke gegeben.  Von da an war der Glaube eine Angelegenheit des Praktizierens für Langs spirituelles Wachstum. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Andererseits verfolgte Lang eine Karriere in Mathematik.  Er erreichte seinen Master und Doktorgrad an der Purdue Universität.  Lang sagte, dass er schon immer von der Mathematik begeistert war.  \"Mathe ist logisch.  Sie besteht daraus, Fakten und Figuren zu verwenden, um zu konkreten Antworten zu gelangen\", sagte Lang.  \"Das ist die Art, wie mein Verstand funktioniert, und es ist frustrierend, wenn ich mit Dingen zu tun habe, die keine konkreten Antworten besitzen.\"  Einen Verstand zu besitzen, der Ideen aufgrund ihrer tatsächlichen Verdienste annimmt, macht den Glauben an diese Religion schwierig, denn die meisten Religionen bedürfen die Akzeptanz des Glaubens, sagte er.  Der Islam appelliert an den Verstand des Menschen, sagte Lang. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Als Fakultätsberater für die Muslimische Studentenvereinigung sah Lang in sich selbst eine Verbindung zwischen den Studenten und ihren Universitäten.  Er wird von den Universitäten eingeladen, Islamische Vorlesungen zu halten.  \"Die Tatsache, ihr Fakultätsberater zu sein, hilft ihnen, ihre Bedürfnisse erfüllt zu bekommen, soweit es im Einklang mit der amerikanischen Kultur und den Prozeduren innerhalb der Universität möglich ist.  Sie nehmen die Gelegenheit gerne wahr, um Missverständnisse zu korrigieren\", sagte er. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang heiratete vor 12 Jahren eine saudische muslimische Frau, namens Raika.  Lang hat verschiedene islamische Bücher geschrieben, die unter der muslimischen Gemeinschaft der Vereinigten Staaten als Bestseller gelten.  Eins seiner wichtigsten Bücher ist: \"Even Angels ask; A Journey to Islam in America” (Sogar Engel fragen; eine Reise zum Islam in Amerika<\/em>).  In diesem Buch teilt Dr. Lang mit seinen Lesern viele Einblicke, die sich ihm in seiner Entdeckung und in seiner Näherung an die Religion des Islam eröffnet haben. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

O Dr. Jeffrey Lang é um professor adjunto de matemática na Universidade de Kansas, uma das maiores universidades nos Estados Unidos.  Começou sua jornada religiosa em 30 de janeiro de 1954, quando nasceu em uma família católica em Bridgeport, Connecticut.  Os primeiros 18 anos de sua vida foram passados em escolas católicas, que o deixaram com muitas perguntas não respondidas sobre Deus e a religião cristã, disse Lang enquanto narrava sua história do Islã.  “Como a maioria das crianças no final dos anos 60 e início dos 70, comecei a questionar todos os valores que tínhamos naqueles tempos: políticos, sociais e religiosos”, disse Lang.  “Rebelei-me contra todas as instituições que a sociedade considerava sagradas, inclusive a Igreja Católica”.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Quando chegou aos 18 anos Lang tinha se tornado totalmente ateu.  “Se existe um Deus, e Ele é misericordioso e amoroso, então por que existe sofrimento na terra? Por que Ele não nos leva para o paraíso? Por que criar todas essas pessoas para sofrer?” Essas eram as perguntas que vinham à minha mente naqueles dias.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Como um jovem professor de matemática na Universidade de São Francisco, Lang encontrou sua religião onde Deus é finalmente uma realidade.  Isso era mostrado a ele por alguns dos amigos muçulmanos que encontrou na universidade.  “Falávamos sobre religião. Fiz muitas perguntas, e fiquei realmente surpreso com o cuidado com que elaboraram suas respostas,” disse Lang.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

O Dr. Lang encontrou Mahmoud Qandeel, um saudita com aparência real que atraiu a atenção da classe inteira no momento em que entrou.  Quando Lang fez uma pergunta sobre pesquisa médica, Qandeel respondeu em inglês perfeito e com grande autoconfiança.  Todos conheciam Qandeel - o prefeito, o chefe de polícia e as pessoas comuns.  Juntos o professor e o aluno foram a todos os lugares resplandecentes onde “não existe alegria ou felicidade, apenas risadas.” Ainda assim, no final, Qandeel surpreendentemente deu a ela uma cópia do Alcorão e alguns livros sobre o Islã.  Lang leu o Alcorão sozinho, achou seu caminho até a sala de orações do estudante na universidade e basicamente se rendeu sem muita luta.  Foi conquistado pelo Alcorão.  Os primeiros dois capítulos são um relato daquele encontro e é fascinante.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Os pintores podem fazer os olhos de um retrato parecem estar seguindo você de um lugar a outro, mas que autor pode escrever uma escritura que antecipa suas vicissitudes diárias?... Cada noite eu formulava perguntas e objeções e de alguma forma descobria a resposta no dia seguinte. Parecia que o autor estava lendo minhas idéias e escrevendo nas linhas apropriadas a tempo de minha próxima leitura. Encontrei a mim mesmo nessas páginas...”<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang realiza as cinco orações diárias regularmente e encontra muita satisfação espiritual.  Considera a oração de Fajr (pré-alvorada) um dos rituais mais belos e comoventes no Islã.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

À pergunta de como ele a acha tão cativante se a recitação do Alcorão é em árabe, que é totalmente estranho para ele, ele responde: “Por que um bebê é confortado pela voz de sua mãe?” Ele disse que ler o Alcorão deu a ele muito conforto e força em momentos difíceis.  Dali em diante, a fé foi uma questão de prática para o crescimento espiritual de Lang.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Por outro lado, Lang prosseguiu na carreira em matemática.  Recebeu seus títulos de mestrado e doutorado da Universidade de Purdue.  Lang disse que sempre foi fascinado por matemática.  “Matemática é lógica. Consiste de usar fatos e números para encontrar respostas concretas,” disse Lang.  “É assim que minha mente funciona e é frustrante quando lido com coisa que não têm respostas concretas.” Ter uma mente que aceita idéias com base em seus méritos factuais dificulta acreditar em uma religião, porque a maioria das religiões requer aceitação pela fé, disse ele.  O Islã apela para o raciocínio do homem, ele diz.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Como conselheiro universitário para a Associação de Estudantes Muçulmanos, Lang disse que se vê como a conexão entre os estudantes e suas universidades.  Obtém aprovação das autoridades universitárias para fazer palestras islâmicas.  “O objetivo de ser conselheiro universitário é ajudá-los a atender suas necessidades ajustando-as à cultura americana e aos procedimentos da universidade. Eles apreciam a oportunidade de ter equívocos corrigidos,” disse ele.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lang se casou com uma mulher saudita, Raika, há 12 anos.  Escreveu vários livros islâmicos que são best-sellers na comunidade islâmica nos EUA.  Um dos seus livros importantes é “Even Angels ask; A Journey to Islam in America” (“Até os Anjos perguntam; Uma Jornada ao Islã na América”<\/em>, em tradução livre).  Nesse livro o Dr. Lang compartilha com seus leitores os muitos entendimentos que desabrocharam através de sua autodescoberta e progresso dentro da religião do Islã.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
