It’s that time of the year, Muslims all over the world are getting restless. Their Home in the heart of the planet beckons them. It’s time to pay homage to the Beloved God in the House. It’s time to come Home. It’s time to come Home to the Holy Sanctuary of Kaaba. It’s time to leave all and follow Him. It’s time to abandon this illusory world and come to the House of God. It’s time for Hajj--the Pilgrimage. Those who can go will head to Mecca, those who can’t will join in the festivities of Homecoming wherever they may be by celebrating the Eid of Sacrifice.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Hajj is a commemoration of love and celebration of faith. We commemorate Abraham’s Supreme Sacrifice in love of his Beloved in Mina. We celebrate his wife Hagar’s display of unprecedented love for the infant Ishmael and her unflinching trust in the Providence in the lonely desert around Safa and Marwa. We venerate God’s Greatest Gift, the Quran by spending a day in Arafat where the final revelation was sent. We celebrate faith by coming face-to-face to the Qiblah of our prayers.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Hajj is also an act of renunciation. Muslims from every corner of the globe don their coffins--two cotton sheets--to represent their deaths to this life and head to their Primordial Home. They pay their debts, ask forgiveness of everyone, bid farewell to one and all and prepare to die to this world to live in Him. We are now ready for Hajj to the Kaaba very special place.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

The Kaaba is a special place. It was the first house of worship built by the first man. God commanded Adam to make a journey. He walked umpteen months until he arrived guided by God to Mecca. Here, he was instructed to build Him a House. This was mankind’s first House of Worship. This is where we first learned to mourn our separation from our Beloved. This is where Adam shed countless tears to lament loss of paradisiacal glory. This is where we sought to seek His nearness. This is where we sought to experience His intimacy. This House is the Archetype which basks under another House situated far beyond the realm of the Visible Universe and the prison of space and serial time. This is the first act of reconciliation with our Paradisiacal Destiny in the Home of our Beloved in spite of our terrestrial sojourn.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

The Kaaba is a special place. It was once lost to us but our Beloved led His Friend Abraham (may God shower him with praise) to this Sanctuary and gave him the task of restoring this House. Our father recruited his son Ishmael for the Holy Task. For months at end, father and son toiled under the searing desert sun sustained only by their burning love for the Eternal God. This choice was no random choice. Abraham was the man for the job. Every year, when men and women were to come to this blessed House, they were to come on 10th of the month of Dhul-Hijjah. This auspicious day God asked Abraham to make the Supreme Sacrifice and Abraham delivered. Allah asked His Friend to sacrifice his son Ishmael and he obliged.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Kaaba is a special place. Its foundations have been fortified by love and faith of Abraham’s family. We go there to commemorate love. We go there to celebrate faith. Abraham lived the true meaning of Surrender. He loved God, his Friend, above all. God gave him a dream where he saw himself sacrificing his son. Persistence of the dream convinced him that it wasn’t just a dream but an allusion from the Infinite. He intimated the dream to his son who readily concurred. Once it was known to be God’s Will, the son didn’t offer any excuses. It was a foregone conclusion that His Will be done. Father and son set off to the designated place. When they reached their destination, son suggested that the father cover his eyes so his love does not overwhelm him into disobeying His master. At the very moment that Abraham let loose his knife, the son was substituted with a lamb. This time and this day was made sacred. Every year, millions come this very day. Millions retrace the steps of these two in the valley of Mina, they stop where they stopped, walk where they walked and finally arrive where the Supreme Sacrifice was offered. Here, everyone offers a sacrifice in His Love and then gives it to the impoverished people of the land all the while marveling at Abraham’s burning love and faith in God that he was willing to sacrifice his most precious love. Those who can’t be here, celebrate this wonderful sacrifice wherever they may be in any part of the world. For indeed, the love of God must be celebrated.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

The Kaaba is a special place. We commemorate Abraham and his son's faith and surrender. We also celebrate Mother Hagar's love. Mother's love is the highest form of selfless human love. Hagar typified this love so well. She combined this love with her unshakable trust in God. Abraham was instructed to bring her and her infant son Ishmael near the mound that was once the Kaaba. In this desolate place with nary a single soul and nary a water source, he left them with a leather bag containing some dates, and a small water-skin containing some water, and set out homeward. Ishmael's mother followed him saying, \"O Abraham! Where are you going, leaving us in this valley where there is no person whose company we may enjoy, nor is there anything (to enjoy)?\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

She repeated that to him many times, but he did not look back at her. Then she asked him, \"Has Allah ordered you to do so?\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

He said, \"Yes.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

She said, \"Then He will not neglect us.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

What an exemplary Trust in their Beloved God! They knew that the Causer of all Causes will provide. He is Eminently Resourceful. Ishmael's mother went on suckling Ishmael and drinking from the water (she had). When all water ran out, she became thirsty and her child also became thirsty. She started looking at Ishmael tossing in agony; she left him, for she could not endure looking at him, and found that the mountain of Safa was the nearest mountain to her on that land. She stood on it and started looking at the valley keenly so that she might see somebody, but she could not see anybody. Then she descended from Safa and when she reached the valley, she tucked up her robe and ran in the valley like a person in distress and trouble, till she crossed the valley and reached the Marwa mountain where she stood and started looking, expecting to see somebody, but she could not see anybody. She repeated that (running between Safa and Marwa) seven times. God loved this selfless display of motherly love so much that every pilgrim to His Holy House must proceed 7 times between the Twin Peaks of Safa and Marwa.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

When she reached Marwa (for the last time) she heard a voice and she asked herself to be quiet and listened attentively. She heard the voice again and said, “O, (whoever you may be)! You have made me hear your voice; have you got something to help me?\" And behold! She saw an angel at the place of Zamzam, digging the earth with his heel till water flowed from that place. She started to make something like a basin around it, using her hand in this way, and started filling her water-skin with water with her hands, and the water was flowing out after she had scooped some of it. This wonderful gift of God hasn't stopped yet. Hundreds of Millions come every year and take gallons and gallons of the Holy Water with them and still the small well never goes dry. Mecca is a special place.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

In celebration of the two momentous events in Abraham's family, we are reminded that Allah's Will always work for our highest good. In the end, it all worked out for Abraham's family and in the end if we trust Him everything will work out for us too. From Him have we come and to Him shall we return!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Kaaba is a special place. It is overwhelming to be in company of 3 million brothers and sisters in faith, all enshrouded in humble whites. The highest kings to the humblest of laborers are dressed alike. They stand shoulder to shoulder, they run side by side and they greet each other the greeting of peace. People of all races intermingle as co-equals. Black, white, yellow and brown all come together in harmony before their Beloved. In this searing passion for the Loved One, there is no distraction. He Alone Matters! It is wonderful to lift one's face and see one's Qiblah face-to-face. All their lives 5 times a day they turned their faces to their Qiblah, the Holy Kaaba, and now they see it right in front of them in all its majesty and glory. They savor the sweetness of coming Home all the while exclaimingLabbaik Allahuma labbaik, la sharika laka labbaik, Labbaik Allahuma labbaik<\/em>: I have come, my Lord, I have come. No one participates in Your Divinity (so I have nowhere to come but You). I have come.\" I have come, my Beloved. I have come.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

We circulate around the Holy Kaaba proclaiming all the while our Arrival. Circling around the earthly shadow of the Pole, we are reminded to keep our Beloved at the Center of our lives. We are reminded to keep Him in front of our lives and in center of our existence.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Accept the Hajj of all our blessed Muslim brothers and sisters who are given the grace of your Presence in Your Exalted House. Give us the Grace to one day be able to come visit You. O Allah, there is no one worthy of Love, Worship and Surrender but You. Allow us to love you, worship You and submit to Your Presence and to Your Wish and Will. Amen!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

El Hayy – La Peregrinación<\/span><\/h1>\r\n

En esa época del año, musulmanes de todo el mundo están cada vez más inquietos. Su Hogar en el corazón del planeta los llama. Es tiempo de rendir homenaje a Dios Amado en la Casa. Es tiempo de regresar al Hogar. Es tiempo de ir a Casa, al Santuario Sagrado de la Ka’ba. Es tiempo de dejarlo todo y seguirlo a Él. Es tiempo de abandonar el mundo ilusorio e ir a la Casa de Dios. Es la época del Hayy, la Peregrinación. Aquellos que pueden ir se dirigen a La Meca, los que no, se unirán a las festividades dondequiera que se encuentren, celebrando el ‘Id<\/em> del Sacrificio.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

El Hayy es una conmemoración de amor y una celebración de fe. Conmemoramos el Sacrificio Supremo de Abraham por amor a Dios en Mina. Celebramos el amor sin precedentes que su esposa Agar mostró por su hijo Ismael y su confianza inquebrantable en la Providencia en el desierto solitario alrededor de Safa y Marwa. Recordamos el Mayor de los Regalos de Dios, el Corán, pasando un día en Arafat, donde descendió la revelación final. Celebramos la fe al estar cara a cara con la Qiblah<\/em> de nuestras oraciones.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

El Hayy también es un acto de renunciación. Los musulmanes de todos los rincones del globo visten su mortaja —dos sábanas de algodón— para representar la muerte a esta vida y enfocarse en su Casa Primordial. Ellos pagan sus deudas, piden perdón a todos, se despiden de todo y de todos, y se preparan para morir a este mundo para vivir en Él. Ahora estamos listos para el Hayy hacia la Ka’ba, el lugar más especial.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Ka’ba es un lugar especial. Fue la primera casa de adoración construida por el primer hombre. Dios le ordenó a Adán que hiciera un viaje. Él caminó meses incontables hasta que llegó a La Meca guiado por Dios. Allí, se le dieron instrucciones para construir una Casa para Él. Esta fue la primera Casa de Adoración hecha por el hombre. Fue donde aprendimos a lamentarnos por la separación de nuestro Amado. Fue donde Adán derramó incontables lágrimas llorando la pérdida de la gloria paradisíaca. Es donde intentamos buscar Su cercanía. Es donde tratamos de experimentar Su intimidad. Esta Casa es el Arquetipo que reposa bajo otra Casa situada más allá de la esfera del universo visible y de la prisión del espacio y del tiempo. Este es el primer acto de reconciliación con nuestro Destino Paradisíaco en la Casa de nuestro Amado, a pesar de nuestra estancia terrestre.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Ka’ba es un lugar especial. Se perdió una vez para nosotros pero nuestro Amado envió a Su amigo Abraham (que la paz de Dios sea con él) a este Santuario y le dio la tarea de restaurar esta Casa. Nuestro padre reclutó a su hijo Ismael para la Tarea Sagrada. Durante meses, hasta terminar, padre e hijo trabajaron bajo el sol abrasador del desierto, sostenidos sólo por su amor ardiente por el Dios Eterno. Esta no fue una elección al azar. Abraham fue el hombre correcto para el trabajo. Cada año, cuando hombres y mujeres van a esta Casa bendita, lo hacen durante el décimo día del mes de Dul-Hiyyah. En este día propicio, Dios le pidió a Abraham que hiciera el Sacrificio Supremo, y él lo hizo. Allah le pidió a Su amigo que sacrificara a su hijo Ismael, y él aceptó.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Ka’ba es un lugar especial. Sus cimientos han sido fortalecidos por el amor y la fe de la familia de Abraham. Vamos allí a conmemorar el amor. Vamos allí a celebrar la fe. Abraham vivió el verdadero sentido de someterse. Amó a Dios, su Amigo, por encima de todo. Dios le dio un sueño en el que él se vio a sí mismo sacrificando a su hijo. La persistencia del sueño lo convenció de que no era sólo un sueño sino una alusión proveniente del Infinito. Le contó del sueño a su hijo, quien estuvo de acuerdo fácilmente. Una vez se supo que se trataba de la Voluntad de Dios, el hijo no presentó excusa alguna. Fue una conclusión inevitable que se haría Su Voluntad. Padre e hijo se dirigieron al lugar designado. Cuando llegaron a su destino, el hijo sugirió que el padre cubriera sus ojos de modo que su amor no le abrumara y lo llevara a desobedecer a su Amo. En el mismísimo instante en que Abraham descargó su cuchillo, el hijo fue sustituido con un cordero. Ese momento y ese día se hicieron sagrados. Cada año, millones vienen este mismo día. Millones siguen los pasos de estos dos en el valle de Mina, se detienen donde ellos se detuvieron, caminan donde ellos caminaron, y finalmente llegan donde el Sacrificio Supremo fue ofrecido. Allí, todos ofrecen un sacrificio en Su Amor y luego se lo entregan a las personas pobres de la tierra, mientras se maravillan del amor ardiente y la fe de Abraham hacia Dios, al punto que estuvo dispuesto a sacrificar su más preciado amor. Aquellos que no pueden estar allí, celebran este sacrificio maravilloso dondequiera que estén, en cualquier parte del mundo. Porque en verdad, el amor de Dios debe ser celebrado.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

(parte 2 de 2)<\/span><\/h1>\r\n

La Ka’ba es un lugar especial. Conmemoramos la fe y la sumisión de Abraham y su hijo. También celebramos el amor de madre de Agar. El amor de madre es el mayor entre los amores humanos. Agar tipifica muy bien este amor. Ella combina este amor con su confianza inquebrantable en Dios. Abraham recibió instrucciones de dejarla a ella y a su pequeño hijo Ismael cerca del montículo que alguna vez fue la Ka’ba. En este lugar desolado, sin siquiera un alma ni una sola fuente de agua, él los dejó con una bolsa de cuero que contenía algunos dátiles y un pequeño odre conteniendo un poco de agua, y volvió a casa. La madre de Ismael lo siguió diciéndole: “¡Oh Abraham! ¿A dónde vas, dejándonos en este valle donde no hay una sola persona cuya compañía podamos disfrutar, ni hay nada (qué disfrutar)?”<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ella le repitió esto muchas veces, pero él no volteó a verla. Entonces ella le preguntó: “¿Allah te ha ordenado que hagas esto?”<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Él dijo: “Sí”.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ella dijo: “Entonces, Él no nos abandonará”.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

¡Qué confianza ejemplar en su Dios Amado! Ellos sabían que el Causante de todas las Causas les proveería. Agar lactó a Ismael y bebió del agua (que tenía). Cuando el agua se terminó, ella y su hijo sintieron sed. Ella comenzó a ver a Ismael retorciéndose en agonía y lo dejó, pues no era capaz de mirarlo, y vio que la montaña de Safa era la más cercana a ella en esa tierra. Subió a ella y comenzó a mirar con insistencia al valle buscando ver a alguien, pero no pudo ver a nadie. Entonces bajó de Safa, y cuando llegó al valle, se levantó el manto y corrió por el valle como una persona en peligro y en problemas, hasta que cruzó el valle y alcanzó la montaña de Marwa donde se paró y comenzó a mirar, esperando ver a alguien, pero no pudo ver a nadie. Ella repitió esto (corriendo entre Safa y Marwa) siete veces. Dios amó esta muestra desinteresada de amor maternal tanto, que cada peregrino a Su Casa Santa debe correr 7 veces entre los picos gemelos de Safa y Marwa.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Cuando ella llegó a Marwa (por última vez) escuchó una voz y se quedó en silencio escuchando con atención. Oyó la voz de nuevo y dijo: “¡Oh, (quienquiera que seas)! Me has hecho escuchar tu voz, ¿tienes algo que me sea de ayuda?” Y he aquí que vio a un ángel en el lugar de Zamzam, cavando la tierra con su talón hasta que fluyó agua de ese lugar. Ella comenzó a hacer una especie de cuenco alrededor de ello, usando su mano para tal fin, y comenzó a llenar su odre de agua con las manos, y el agua siguió fluyendo después que ella recogió una parte. Este regalo maravilloso de Dios aún no se ha detenido. Millones vienen cada año y llevan con ellos galones y galones del Agua Bendita, y aun así el pequeño pozo no se seca. La Meca es un lugar especial.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

En celebración de los dos eventos trascendentales en la familia de Abraham, recordamos que la Voluntad de Allah siempre trabaja para nuestro bien mayor. Al final, todo salió bien para la familia de Abraham; y al final, si confiamos en Él, todo saldrá bien para nosotros. De Él venimos y a Él hemos de regresar.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Ka’ba es un lugar especial. Es sobrecogedor estar en compañía de 3 millones de hermanos y hermanas en la fe, todos envueltos en blanco, humildes. Del mayor de los reyes al más humilde de los obreros están vestidos igual. Ellos se paran hombro con hombro, corren lado a lado y se dan unos a otros el saludo de paz. Gente de todas las razas se mezclan como iguales. Blancos, negros, amarillos y cafés, todos vienen juntos en armonía ante su Amado. En esta pasión ardiente por el más Amado, no hay distracción. ¡El Único que importa! Es maravilloso levantar el rostro y verse frente a frente con la Ka’ba. Toda una vida dirigiendo sus rostros, cinco veces al día, hacia su Qiblah<\/em>, la Sagrada Ka’ba, y ahora la ven justo frente a ellos en toda su gloria y majestad. Saborean la dulzura de volver a Casa mientras exclaman “Labbaika Allah Humma labbaik, labbaika la sharika laka labbaik. Innal hamda wan ni’emata laka wal mulk, la sharika lak” <\/em>(¡Aquí estoy, Oh Allah, aquí estoy! No tienes asociados, aquí estoy. ¡Ciertamente las alabanzas y los favores Te pertenecen! Todas las alabanzas son para Ti y el Reino Te pertenece y no Te asociamos nada.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Circunvalamos alrededor de la Ka’ba Sagrada proclamando mientras llegamos. Damos vueltas alrededor de la sombra terrestre del Polo, recordando mantener a nuestro Amado en el centro de nuestras vidas. Recordamos mantenerlo a Él al frente de nuestras vidas y en el centro de nuestra existencia.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Señor, acepta el Hayy de todos nuestros hermanos y hermanas musulmanes, a quienes has dado la gracia de Tu Presencia en Tu Casa Exaltada. Danos la gracia de poder visitarte algún día. ¡Oh, Allah!, no existe nadie merecedor de Amor, Adoración y Sometimiento más que Tú. Permítenos amarte, adorarte y someternos a Tu Presencia y a Tu Deseo y Voluntad. Amín.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

C’est de nouveau cette période de l’année; les musulmans, à travers le monde, ont de plus en plus hâte.  Leur Maison, au cœur de la planète, les appelle.  C’est le temps de rendre hommage à Dieu en visitant Sa Maison, c’est le temps de revenir à la maison…  Le temps de se rendre au sanctuaire sacré de la Kaaba.  C’est le temps de tout laisser tomber pour Le suivre, le temps d’abandonner ce monde illusoire et de se rendre à la Maison de Dieu.   C’est le temps du Hajj, du pèlerinage; ceux qui en ont les moyens se rendront à la Mecque et ceux qui ne peuvent s’y rendre participeront quand même aux festivités de l’Aïd du sacrifice.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Le Hajj est une commémoration de l’amour et une célébration de la foi.  Nous commémorons le sacrifice suprême d’Abraham, fait par amour pour Dieu, à Mina.  Nous célébrons la démonstration d’amour inconditionnel de sa femme, Hagar, pour son enfant Ismaël et sa confiance inébranlable au destin, dans le désert entourant Safa et Marwa.  Nous vénérons le plus grand cadeau de Dieu, le Coran, en passant une journée au mont Arafat, où fut descendue la dernière révélation.  Nous célébrons la foi en venant faire face à ce lieu qui nous sert de Qiblah lors de nos prières.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Le Hajj est aussi un acte de renoncement.  Les musulmans qui y participent ne portent, pour tout vêtement, que deux pièces de coton blanc.  Avant de s’y rendre, ils paient leurs dettes, demandent pardon à tous ceux qu’ils ont offensés et disent adieu à tous, car ils ne savent pas s’ils reviendront vivants.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Kaaba est un lieu très spécial.  C’est le premier lieu d’adoration construit par le premier homme.  Dieu commanda à Adam de partir en voyage et celui-ci marcha des années durant, jusqu’à ce qu’il arrive, guidé par Dieu, à la Mecque.  Là, Dieu lui ordonna de construire une maison à Sa gloire.  Ce fut le premier lieu d’adoration de l’humanité.  C’est là qu’Adam versa des torrents de larmes pour la perte du Paradis.  Cette maison, la Kaaba, est la réplique d’une autre maison, sise au-delà des limites du monde visible, hors de l’espace-temps.  La Kaaba constitue, en quelque sorte, un lien entre nous et le Paradis.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Kaaba est un lieu très spécial.  Nous l’avons perdue, une fois, mais Dieu guida Son proche ami, Abraham, vers le sanctuaire et lui confia la tâche de la reconstruire, avec son fils Ismaël.  Des mois durant, le père et le fils travaillèrent péniblement, sous le soleil brûlant, motivés uniquement par leur amour pour Dieu.  Dieu n’avait pas choisi Abraham au hasard; il était celui qui convenait le mieux pour cette tâche.  Chaque année, quand les hommes et les femmes viendraient visiter cette maison sacrée, ils le feraient au 10e<\/sup> jour du mois de dhoul-Hijjah.  C’est ce jour où Dieu demanda à Abraham de faire le sacrifice suprême et où Abraham acquiesça. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Kaaba est un lieu très spécial.  Ses fondations ont été fortifiées par l’amour et la foi de la famille d’Abraham.  Nous nous y rendons pour commémorer l’amour et pour célébrer la foi.  Abraham y vécut l’abandon à Dieu dans son sens le plus pur; car il aimait Dieu, son Ami, par-dessus tout.  Dieu lui envoya un rêve dans lequel il se vit sacrifiant son fils bien-aimé.  Il comprit que ce rêve venait de Dieu.  Lorsqu’il le mentionna à son fils, ce dernier l’interpréta de la même façon.  Il comprit également que c’était là la volonté de Dieu, alors il n’offrit aucune résistance.  Le père et le fils se rendirent à l’endroit désigné.  Lorsqu’ils y parvinrent, le fils suggéra à son père de couvrir ses yeux (au fils), afin d’éviter que son amour pour lui ne lui fasse changer d’avis à la dernière seconde et ainsi désobéir à Dieu.  À la seconde où Abraham dégaina son couteau, son fils fut remplacé par un agneau.  Depuis, ce jour est devenu sacré.  Chaque année, des millions de musulmans se rendent à la Mecque pour commémorer ce jour, pour marcher dans les pas de ces deux prophètes, dans la vallée de Mina, s’arrêter où ils se sont arrêtés, reprendre leur route là où ils reprirent leur route, pour arriver là où eut lieu le sacrifice.  Là, ils sont, encore une fois, des millions à faire le sacrifice d’une bête, par amour pour Dieu, puis à offrir la viande aux pauvres de la région, tout en s’émerveillant de l’amour et de la foi en Dieu d’Abraham, qui était prêt à sacrifier l’être qu’il aimait le plus.  Ceux qui ne peuvent se rendre à la Mecque sacrifient eux aussi une bête, peu importe où ils se trouvent.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Kaaba est un lieu très spécial.  Nous y commémorons la foi et la soumission d’Abraham et de son fils.  Et nous y célébrons l’amour de Hagar; l’amour maternel est l’amour le plus désintéressé qui soit et Hagar représentait cet amour à la perfection, car il était combiné à sa confiance inébranlable en Dieu.  Dieu avait ordonné à Abraham de conduire son épouse et leur fils près du monticule qui avait autrefois été la Kaaba.  Dans ce lieu désert où il n’y avait pas âme qui vive et pas même une source d’eau, il les laissa avec un sac de cuir contenant quelques dattes et une petite outre contenant un peu d’eau, puis s’éloigna.  Hagar l’interpella : « Abraham!  Où vas-tu comme ça?  Tu nous laisses dans cette vallée où il n’y a personne et rien à faire? »<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Elle répéta sa question, mais il ne répondit pas.  Alors elle lui demanda : « C’est Allah qui t’a ordonné de faire cela? »<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Il lui dit : « Oui ».<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ce à quoi elle répondit : « Alors Il ne nous négligera pas. »<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Quelle confiance inébranlable en Dieu!  Ils savaient que Celui qui agit sur tout allait s’occuper d’eux.  Hagar allaita Ismaël et but de l’eau qu’elle avait en réserve.  Quand cette réserve s’épuisa, elle eut soif, de même que son enfant.  Elle se leva et regarda au loin; le mont Safa était le promontoire le plus près.  Elle laissa son enfant sur le sol et courut vers le mont, qu’elle escalada pour observer la vallée; il n’y avait personne.  Elle descendit alors et courut à travers la vallée, jusqu’au mont Marwa, qu’elle escalada également pour pouvoir regarder au loin.  Encore une fois, il n’y avait personne.  Elle fit ce va-et-vient, entre les deux monts, à sept reprises.  C’est pour commémorer cet acte que chaque année, les pèlerins qui font le Hajj doivent faire sept fois l’aller-retour entre Safa et Marwa.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Lorsqu’elle atteignit Marwa, la septième fois, elle entendit une voix et elle écouta attentivement.  Elle entendit à nouveau la voix et dit alors : « Qui que vous soyez, vous m’avez fait entendre votre voix; pouvez-vous m’aider d’une quelconque façon? ».  Et voilà qu’elle aperçut un ange creusant le sol avec son talon, jusqu’à ce que de l’eau se mette à en jaillir.  C’est cet endroit qui allait plus tard être connu sous le nom de Zamzam.  Elle s’approcha et s’efforça de contenir l’eau en creusant une sorte de petit bassin, avec ses mains.  Puis, elle remplit son outre et vit que l’eau continuait de jaillir.  Cet incroyable cadeau de Dieu jaillit encore de nos jours, sans interruption.  Chaque année, des millions de personnes viennent y boire et y remplir nombre de contenants de cette eau sacrée et jamais ce puits ne se tarit.  La Mecque est un lieu très spécial.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

De ces deux événements que vécurent les membres de la famille d’Abraham, nous pouvons déduire que la volonté de Dieu se réalise toujours pour notre plus grand bien.  Tout se termina bien, pour eux, et si nous faisons confiance à Dieu comme ils le firent, les choses finiront bien pour nous aussi.  C’est à Dieu que nous appartenons et c’est à Lui que nous retournerons!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

La Kaaba est un lieu très spécial.  Se retrouver en compagnie de trois millions de frères et sœurs en islam procure un sentiment indescriptible.  Les rois et les plus humbles des ouvriers portent le même vêtement.  Ils se tiennent côte à côte, se déplacent en groupes et se saluent comme des frères.  Des gens de toutes les races se mêlent les uns aux autres; des noirs, des blancs, des asiatiques viennent visiter la Maison de Dieu, en harmonie, là où il n’y a aucune distraction, car seul Lui compte vraiment.  Rien n’est plus éblouissant que de lever les yeux et de voir cette Maison, qui nous sert de qiblah, juste là devant soi.  Toute sa vie, cinq fois par jour, on se tourne vers la qiblah, la Kaaba, et voilà qu’elle est devant soi, dans toute sa majesté.  On savoure la douceur de ce moment tout en répétant Labbaik Allahuma labbaik, la sharika laka labbaik, Labbaik Allahuma labbaik<\/em> (Je suis venu, ô Seigneur, je suis venu.  Nul ne peut être associé à Ta divinité.  Je suis venu, ô Seigneur, je suis venu.).<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Nous circulons autour de la Kaaba et cela nous rappelle qu’il faut apprendre à faire de Dieu le centre de nos vies, de nos préoccupations.  Ô Dieu, accepte le Hajj de tous nos frères et sœurs en islam qui ont la chance d’aller visiter Ta Maison.  Fais-nous la grâce de visiter à notre tour ce lieu, dans le futur.  Ô Dieu, nul ne mérite d’être aimé et adoré à part Toi et nul ne mérite notre soumission à part Toi.  Permets-nous de T’aimer, de T’adorer et de nous soumettre à Toi et à Ta volonté.  Amen.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Es ist die Zeit des Jahres, in der die Muslime auf der ganzen Welt unruhig werden.  Ihr Heim im Mittelpunkt des Planeten ruft nach ihnen.  Es ist an der Zeit, dem geliebten Gott des Hauses zu huldigen.  Es ist an der Zeit, nach Hause zu kommen.  Es ist an der Zeit, nach Hause zum Heiligtum der Kaaba zurückzukehren.  Es ist an der Zeit, alles zu lassen und Ihm Folge zu leisten.  Es ist an der Zeit, diese Welt der Illusion aufzugeben und zum Hause Gottes zu kommen.  Es ist die Zeit für Hajj—die Pilgerreise.  Diejenigen, die gehen können, werden nach Mekka streben.  Diejenigen, die nicht können, werden an den Feierlichkeiten der Heimkehr teilnehmen, wo auch immer sie sich befinden werden, indem sie das Opferfest feiern werden. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Hajj ist eine Erinnerung an die Liebe und eine Feier des Glaubens.  Wir erinnern uns an Abrahams riesiges Opfer für seinen geliebten Gott in Mina.  Wir feiern die beispiellose Liebe seiner Frau Hajar für ihren Sohn Ismael und ihr unerschütterliches Vertrauen in die Vorsehung in dieser einsamen Wüste um Safa und Marwa herum.  Wir verehren das größte Geschenk Gottes, den Qur´an, indem wir den Tag bei Arafat verbringen, wo die letzte Offenbarung herab gesandt wurde.  Wir feiern den Glauben, indem wir uns der Qiblah (Richtung) unserer Gebete von Angesicht zu Angesicht nähern.  <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Hajj ist ebenfalls ein Akt der Lossagung.  Muslime von jedem Winkel der Erde kommen in ihren Leichentüchern – zwei einfachen Baumwolltüchern – die ihren Tod in diesem Leben repräsentieren und ihr Streben zu ihrem ursprünglichem Zuhause.  Sie zahlen ihre Schulden, bitten jeden um Verzeihung, verabschieden sich von jedem einzelnen und bereiten sich auf ihren Tod in dieser Welt vor, um bei Ihm zu leben.  Jetzt sind wir bereit für den Hajj zur Kaaba, einem ganz besonderen Ort. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Die Kaaba ist ein besonderer Ort.  Es war das erste Gotteshaus, das von dem ersten Menschen erbaut wurde.  Gott befahl Adam, eine Reise zu unternehmen.  Er wanderte –zig Monate, bis er von Gott geleitet nach Mekka kam.  Dort wurde er angewiesen, Ihm ein Haus zu errichten.  Dies war der erste Haus der Menschheit zur Anbetung Gottes.  Dies ist es, wo wir zum ersten Mal gelernt hatten, um unsere Trennung von unserem geliebten Gott zu trauern.  Dies ist der Ort, an dem Adam zahllose Tränen um den Verlust der paradiesischen Herrlichkeit vergossen hatte.  Dies ist es, wo wir versuchen, Seine Nähe zu erfahren.  Dies ist es, wo wir Seine Vertrautheit suchen.  Dieses Haus ist der Archetyp, der sich im sichtbaren Teil des Universums sonnt und über das Gefängnis von Zeit und Raum weit hinaus reicht.  Dies ist der erste Akt der Aussöhnung mit unserem paradiesischen Schicksal im Heim unseres geliebten Gottes trotz unseren irdischen Aufenthalts.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Die Kaaba ist ein besonderer Ort.  Sie war uns dereinst verloren gegangen, aber unser geliebter Gott hat Seinen Freund Abraham (Gottes Friede sei mit ihm) zu diesem Heiligtum geführt und ihm die Aufgabe erteilt, dieses Haus wieder aufzubauen.  Unser Vater rekrutierte seinen Sohn Ismael für diese heilige Aufgabe.  Monatelang haben Vater und Sohn in der sengenden Wüstensonne geschuftet, nur von der heißen Liebe zu dem Ewigen Gott aufrechterhalten.  Dies war keine zufällige Wahl.  Abraham war der Mann für diese Arbeit.  Jedes Jahr, wenn die Männer und Frauen zu diesem gesegneten Haus ziehen, kommen sie am 10.des Monats Dhul-Hijjah.  An diesem glücklichen Tag hat Gott Abraham angewiesen, das größte Opfer zu bringen, und Abraham war dazu bereit.  Allah bat Seinen Freund, seinen Sohn Ismael zu opfern, und er war daran gebunden. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Die Kaaba ist ein besonderer Ort.  Ihr Fundament wurde gestärkt von der Liebe und dem Glauben von Abrahams Familie.  Wir gehen dorthin, um der Liebe zu gedenken.  Wir gehen dorthin, um den Glauben zu feiern.  Abraham lebte nach der wahren Bedeutung von Ergebenheit.  Er liebte Gott, seinen Freund, über alles.  Gott ließ ihn einen Traum sehen, in dem er seinen eigenen Sohn opferte.  Die Beständigkeit des Traumes überzeugte ihn davon, dass dies nicht einfach nur ein Traum war, sondern ein Hinweis des Unendlichen.  Er vertraute diesen Traum seinem Sohn an, der bereitwillig zustimmte.  Sobald er hörte, dass es der Wille Gottes war, hat der Sohn keinerlei Entschuldigungen vorgebracht.  Es war eine ausgemachte Folgerung, dass Sein Wille getan werde.  Vater und Sohn machten sich auf zu dem ausgemachten Ort.  Als sie ihr Ziel erreichten, schlug der Sohn vor, dass der Vater ihm seine Augen verbinde, damit er nicht von seiner Liebe überwältigt und seinem Herrn ungehorsam würde.  Genau in diesem Augenblick als Abraham sein Messer lockerte, wurde sein Sohn durch ein Lamm ersetzt.  Dieses Ereignis und dieser Tag wurde geheiligt.  Jedes Jahr kommen Millionen.  Millionen Menschen vollziehen die Schritte dieser beiden im Tal von Mina nach, sie halten, wo sie anhielten, gehen, wo sie gingen und kommen schließlich dort an, wo das große Opfer gemacht wurde.  Hier macht jeder ein Opfer Seiner Liebe und gibt es den armen Leuten des Landes, sie staunen die ganze Zeit die glühende Liebe Abrahams und seinen Glauben an Gott, dass er bereitwillig seinen geliebten Sohn opfern wollte.  Diejenigen, die nicht dort sein können, feiern dieses wunderbare Opfer, wo sie sich auch gerade auf der Welt befinden.  Denn die Liebe Gottes ist wirklich zu feiern.   <\/span><\/p>\r\n

(teil 2 von 2)<\/span><\/h1>\r\n

Die Kaaba ist ein besonderer Ort.  Wir erinnern uns an den Glauben und die Ergebenheit Abrahams und seines Sohnes.  Wir feiern ebenfalls Mutter Hagars Liebe.  Mutterliebe ist die höchste Stufe selbstloser menschlicher Liebe.   Hagar verkörpert diese Liebe so gut.  Sie verband diese mit ihrem unerschütterlichen Vertrauen in Gott.  Abraham wurde befohlen, sie und ihren kleinen Sohn Ismael in die Nähe des Hügels zu bringen, der einst die Kaaba gewesen war.  An diesem verlassenen Ort ohne jegliche weitere Seele und ohne irgendeine Wasserquelle ließ er sie mit einem Lederbeutel, der einige Datteln enthielt, und mit einer Wasserhaut, die etwas Wasser enthielt, zurück und machte sich auf den Heimweg.  Ismaels Mutter folgte ihm und sagte: „O Abraham!  Wohin gehst du?  Wirst du uns hier in diesem Tal zurück lassen, in dem es keinen Menschen gibt, der uns Gesellschaft leistet, noch irgend etwas anderes? <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Sie wiederholte dies mehrmals, aber er blickte nicht zu ihr zurück.  Dann fragte sie ihn: „Hat Allah dir befohlen, dies zu tun?“  <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Er sagte: “Ja.”   <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Sie sagte: „Dann wird er uns nicht vergessen.“ <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Welch ein beispielhaftes Vertrauen in ihren geliebten Gott!  Sie wussten, dass der Hervorbringer aller Dinge sie versorgen wird.  Er ist überaus Findig.  Ismaels Mutter stillte Ismael weiter und trank von dem Wasser (das sie hatte).  Als das Wasser zu Ende ging, wurde sie durstig und auch ihr Kind bekam Durst.  Sie fing an, bei Ismael zu suchen, der sich vor Unbehagen wand, aber sie konnte nicht ertragen, ihn zu sehen, und sie fand den Hügel Safa, der ihr am nächsten war.  Sie stand darauf und hielt Ausschau, ob sie jemanden erblicken konnte, aber sie konnte niemanden sehen.  Dann stieg sie von dem Hügel Safa hinab und als sie das Tal erreichte, raffte sie ihr Kleid hoch und lief durch das Tal, wie jemand mit Kummer und Sorgen dies tut, bis sie das Tal durchquert hatte und den Hügel Marwa erreichte, wo sie wieder stand und Ausschau hielt, ob sie jemanden erkennen konnte, aber es war niemand zu sehen.  Dieses (Laufen zwischen Safa und Marwa) wiederholte sie siebenmal.  Gott liebte dieses selbstlose Zeichen der Mutterliebe so sehr, dass jeder Pilger zu diesem Heiligen Hause siebenmal zwischen den beiden Hügelspitzen von Safa und Marwa hin und her laufen muss. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Als sie (zum letzten Mal) Marwa erreichte, hörte sie eine Stimme, und sie zwang sich, leise zu sein und horchte aufmerksam.  Wieder hörte sie die Stimme und sagte: „O (wer auch immer du sein magst)!  Du hast mich deine Stimme hören lassen, hast du etwas, das mir helfen kann?“ Und siehe da!  Sie sah einen Engel an der Stelle von Zamzam, der mit seinem Hacken in der Erde grub, bis an jener Stelle Wasser floss.  Sie begann, so etwas wie ein Becken zu bauen, wozu sie ihre bloße Hand benutzte, und sie fing an, ihre Wasserhaut mit ihren Händen zu füllen, das Wasser floss immer weiter, nachdem sie etwas davon genommen hatte.  Dieses wundervolle Geschenk Gottes hat bis heute nicht aufgehört.  Hunderte Millionen kommen jedes Jahr und nehmen Gallonen für Gallonen des heiligen Wassers mit sich und trotzdem wird diese kleine Quelle nicht trocken.  Mekka ist ein besonderer Ort.    <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Um diese beiden bedeutungsvollen Ereignisse in der Familie Abrahams zu feiern, werden wir daran erinnert, dass der Wille Allahs immer zu unserem Besten arbeitet.  Letzten Endes hat sich alles für Abrahams Familie zum Guten gewandt und schließlich vertrauen wir Ihm, dass es sich für uns auch alles zum Guten wenden wird.  Von Ihm kommen wir und zu Ihm werden wir zurückkehren! <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Die Kaaba ist ein besonderer Ort.  Es ist überwältigend, von 3 Millionen Brüdern und Schwestern im Glauben umgeben zu sein, alle in bescheidenes Weiß gehüllt.  Der höchste König und der niedrigste Arbeiter sind gleich gekleidet.  Sie stehen Schulter an Schulter, sie laufen Seite an Seite, und sie begrüßen einander mit dem Friedensgruß.  Menschen aller Rassen vermischen sich.  Schwarze, Weiße, Gelbe und Braune, alle kommen in Harmonie vor ihrem  Geliebten Herrn zusammen.  In dieser Leidenschaft für den Geliebten gibt es keine Ablenkung.  Er Alleine zählt!  Es ist wunderbar, sein Gesicht zu erheben, und die Qiblah direkt zu sehen.  Ihr ganzes Leben lang haben sie fünfmal täglich ihre Gesichter zur Qiblah, zur Heiligen Kaaba gewandt und jetzt sehen sie sie vor sich, in all ihrer Majestät und Größe. Sie genießen die Süße, nach Hause zu kommen, während sie ausrufen:Labbaik Allahuma labbaik, la scharika laka labbaik, Labbaik Allahuma labbaik<\/em>: Ich bin gekommen, mein Herr, ich bin gekommen.  Du hast keine Teilhaber an Deiner Göttlichkeit (also habe ich keinen Ort zu dem ich kommen kann, als zu Dir.)  Ich bin gekommen.“  Ich bin gekommen, mein Geliebter, ich bin gekommen.  <\/span><\/p>\r\n
