Prior to my conversion to Islam, I lived my life as a Jew. Although my family was not traditional, I learned Judaism from traditional Jews. I went to an Orthodox Jewish synagogue, and an Orthodox Jewish school. I lived, and continue to live, in a Jewish community in the United States where there is little diversity. And considering how much Judaism was involved in my life, I did not have any non-Jewish friends. But about a year ago, I began to chat online quite often and my e-mail list slowly began to fill with more and more Muslims. I developed a strong interest for studying other religions as well as my own. I paid special attention to Islam, for I knew it was a religion not much different than Judaism. We share many similar prophets (peace be upon them all), morals, values, and most importantly, we worship the same God — Allah. Although I knew much about Islam and knew it was a peaceful religion, I cannot say I did not have stereotypes. I was lucky because I knew many Muslims online, one of which was my girlfriend[1]<\/a> who I consider to be my guide to Islam. She led me to the doors of Islam, and Allah took me through the rest [...]<\/span><\/p>\r\n

I decided to look deeper into the faith. By doing so I discovered flaws in my own religion. According to the Old Testament, the great Prophet Aaron committed the worse sin possible. Due to pressure put upon him by the people while waiting for Moses to return with the Torah from Mount Sinai, he built an idol.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

How could a great prophet possibly commit one of the three sins that are so great that one should prefer death before committing them? In the Quran, Moses comes down and sees the Jews worshiping the Golden Calf. At first he thinks it is the creation of Aaron and is angry at him; later he finds it was other Hebrews who had created this idol. A lot can be learned from this story.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Would a nation of people led by God really be forgiven for such a sin? My view on this story matches the Islamic view that the Old Testament has changed over the years. In the past, there have been many Cohaneem (religious leaders at the Holy Temple) who were corrupt. Couldn't it easily be possible for them to have changed Judaism to make it easier to observe and less time-consuming in order to make more money with their profession?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Another astonishing factor that led me to Islam is the scientific truth written in the Quran. The Quran mentions the human embryonic development long before it was discovered by science.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

“And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators.” (Quran 23:12-14)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

The Quran also mentions how mountains are formed and talks about the layers of the atmosphere! These are just a few of so many scientific discoveries mentioned in the Quran 1400 years before discovered by science.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Here is one of the key factors that led me to explore my heart to find the truth of life. In Arabic, the word Islam comes from salama which means \"to submit\"; \"purity\" and \"peace\" come from the same root. The person submits to the One, the Merciful, and the Most Beneficent Allah; whereas other religions are named after people: Judaism comes from the tribe of Judea, Christianity from Jesus Christ, etc. Islam is a word derived from a verb; anyone who submits to Allah and believes in all the prophets is a true Muslim. Many of the great prophets mentioned in the Old Testament lived prior to Judaism and Judea; they submitted to God, and therefore they were all Muslims. And we shall live as the prophets lived, for they were great human beings.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Considering my situation of being very young and living in an all-Jewish area, it would be difficult to have my beliefs accepted. My parents and relatives are very respectful, but I am unsure how they would react if it is their own son who reverts to Islam. So for now, I am unable to live out an Islamic life to the fullest, but thanks to Allah, I am able to pray five times a day, I am able to study Islam online, and at least I am openly able to believe in one God and express those feelings. In some ways it can be very difficult. I become more emotional than most people would when I debate something involving Muslims, for example the Middle East. When I talk about Israel, my whole family supports Israel and doesn't know the truth of what goes on to Palestinians, but I think they should have proper treatment for the Palestinians. And when they talk about this situation, I become easily offended, especially if they bring up the idea that it is \"the Jewish Holy Land\" and \"Promised Land.\"<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Because I have not yet told my parents of my reversion to Islam, I am unable to attend prayers at a mosque. As I stated before, my area has little diversity and all the mosques are far away. I have never had the opportunity to do Shahadah in front of witnesses[2]<\/a> although I have said Shahadah for the best witness of all — Allah. When I am 16 in about one year, I will be able to drive to the mosque, in sha' Allah (Allah willing). The most important thing is to improve the person I am. I try to avoid my friends who do drugs, watch porn, drink alcohol, and steal. It is not always easy to avoid close friends, but I try my best for the sake of Allah. And I hope over time my personality will meet what Allah wishes to see from us all.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

When studying Quran, my advice to you is to read it for yourself. Looking at biased websites, you are not able to see the full content of a verse. […]<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Through this whole experience I have discovered that I did not find Islam, I re-embraced Islam; nor did I convert, I reverted; and on my ride from darkness to light, it has only made me a stronger, more spiritual, and a better human being. May Allah guide us all to the truth that I was led to.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Avant ma conversion à l’islam, je menais la vie typique d’un garçon de religion juive.  Bien que ma famille ne soit pas très attachée aux traditions, j’ai appris le judaïsme de juifs traditionnels.  Je fréquentais une synagogue orthodoxe et une école juive orthodoxe.  Je vivais, et vis toujours, dans une communauté juive peu diversifiée des États-Unis.  Et comme le judaïsme occupait une place importante, dans ma vie, je n’avais aucun ami non-juif.  Mais il y a un an, environ, je me mis à clavarder de plus en plus souvent, sur internet, et, peu à peu, des musulmans vinrent s’ajouter à ma liste de contacts.  C’est ainsi que je développai un véritable intérêt pour l’étude des autres religions.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Je me concentrai surtout sur l’islam, car je savais qu’à la base, cette religion n’est pas très différente du judaïsme.  Nous avons plusieurs prophètes en commun, de même qu’un certain nombre de valeurs morales et, plus important encore, nous adorons le même Dieu, Allah.  Même si je connaissais bien l’islam et que je savais qu’il s’agissait d’une religion de paix, je ne peux prétendre que je n’entretenais aucun préjugé à son égard.  Je m’estimais chanceux de connaître autant de musulmans(es) en ligne; l’une était ma copine,[1]<\/a> que je considérais comme mon guide vers l’islam.  C’est elle qui me guida aux portes de l’islam, et Allah me les fit traverser...<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Je décidai d’étudier de plus près les religions en général.  Ce faisant, je découvris maintes failles dans ma propre religion.  Selon l’Ancien Testament, le prophète Aaron aurait commis le pire péché qui soit : sous la pression des gens qui attendaient avec lui le retour de Moïse du Mont Sinaï, il aurait construit une idole.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Comment un aussi grand prophète aurait-il pu commettre un des trois péchés qui sont si graves que la mort leur est préférable?  Dans le Coran, Moïse revient et trouve les juifs en train d’adorer un veau d’or.  Il croit d’abord qu’il s’agit de l’œuvre d’Aaron et s’emporte contre lui.  Mais il découvre ensuite que ce sont d’autres hébreux qui fabriquèrent cette idole.  Il y a beaucoup à apprendre de cette histoire.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Une nation guidée par Dieu pourrait-elle recevoir le pardon pour un pareil péché?  Mon point de vue, sur cette histoire, rejoint le point de vue de l’islam, qui affirme que l’Ancien Testament a été modifié avec les années.  Dans le passé, il y a eut trois cohanim<\/em> (leaders religieux du Saint Temple) de corrompus.  Il est plus que probable qu’ils aient eu l’occasion de modifier certaines lois juives pour les rendre plus faciles à observer et pour qu’elles demandent moins du temps des croyants, afin que ceux-ci aient plus de temps pour travailler et faire plus d’argent.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ce qui m’a également attiré vers l’islam, ce sont les vérités scientifiques que l’on retrouve dans le Coran.  Par exemple, le Coran a parlé du développement embryonnaire humain longtemps avant que ses détails ne soient découverts par les scientifiques :<\/span><\/p>\r\n

« Nous avons certes créé l’homme d’un extrait d’argile.  Puis Nous en avons fait une goutte de sperme dans un réceptacle solidement fixé.  Ensuite, Nous avons fait de cette goutte de sperme un caillot sanguin, et Nous avons façonné ce caillot en un amas de chair à partir duquel Nous avons dessiné des os, que Nous avons ensuite revêtus de chair.  Puis Nous l’avons fait se développer en une nouvelle création.  Béni soit Dieu, le Meilleur des créateurs! » (Coran 23:12-14)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Le Coran parle également de la formation des montagnes et des différentes couches de l’atmosphère.  Ce ne sont que quelques-uns des faits scientifiques mentionnés dans le Coran il y a de cela 1400 ans, donc des siècles avant qu’ils ne soient découverts par les scientifiques.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ce sont là certains des facteurs qui m’ont amené à m’interroger sérieusement sur la vérité et sur la réalité de cette vie.  En arabe, le mot « islam » vient du mot « salama », qui signifie « se soumettre ».  Les termes « pureté » et « paix » proviennent de la même racine.  Islam est un terme dérivé d’un verbe : quiconque se soumet à Allah et croit en tous les prophètes qu’Il a envoyés est un musulman.  Plusieurs des grands prophètes mentionnés dans l’Ancien Testament ont vécu avant l’instauration du judaïsme et la tribu de Judée; ils se soumettaient à Dieu et étaient donc musulmans.  Nous devons vivre comme ont vécu les prophètes, car ils étaient les meilleurs exemples de l’humanité.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Je savais que comme j’étais très jeune et que je vivais dans un quartier presque exclusivement juif, mes nouvelles croyances seraient difficilement acceptées par mes pairs.  Mes parents et ma famille élargie sont très respectueux, mais je ne sais comment ils réagiraient s’ils apprenaient que leur fils s’est converti à l’islam.  Alors pour l’instant, il m’est impossible de vivre mon islam ouvertement, mais grâce à Allah, j’arrive tout de même à faire mes cinq prières quotidiennes, à étudier l’islam sur internet et au moins, je peux croire en un seul Dieu et l’exprimer sans crainte.  D’une certaine façon, cela demeure difficile, car je deviens plus émotif que le commun des mortels lorsque survient un débat sur un sujet qui touche de près les musulmans.  Quand je parle d’Israël, c’est toute ma famille qui soutient cet État et qui ignore ce qui s’y passe réellement, alors que je défends les Palestiniens et fais valoir qu’ils méritent d’être mieux traités.  Lorsqu’ils en parlent, je me sens vite offensé, surtout lorsqu’ils font mention de la « terre sainte juive » ou de la « terre promise ».<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Comme je n’ai pas encore dévoilé ma conversion à mes parents, je ne peux assister aux prières à la mosquée.  Comme je l’ai mentionné précédemment, je vis dans un secteur très peu diversifié et toutes les mosquées sont assez éloignées.  Je n’ai jamais eu l’occasion de prononcer la shahadah devant des témoins, même si je l’ai prononcée devant le meilleur de tous les témoins : Allah.  Lorsque, dans un an, j’aurai 16 ans, incha’Allah (si Dieu le veut), je pourrai peut-être conduire jusqu’à la mosquée.  Le plus important, pour l’instant, est de m’améliorer en tant que personne, en tant que musulman.  J’évite les mauvaises fréquentations, ces jeunes qui se droguent, qui boivent, regardent de la pornographie et volent.  Ce n’est pas toujours évident d’éviter les mauvaises personnes, mais je fais de mon mieux.  Et j’espère qu’avec le temps, je deviendrai ce genre de musulman qu’Allah souhaite nous voir tous devenir.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Si vous souhaitez étudier le Coran, je vous conseille de le lire par vous-mêmes et d’éviter les sites web biaisés, car ils présentent souvent des versets incomplets ou mal traduits. [...]<\/span><\/p>\r\n

À travers cette expérience, j’ai découvert qu’en réalité, je n’avais pas trouvé l’islam comme tel, mais que j’étais redevenu musulman, que j’étais revenu à ma nature première.  Et durant mon cheminement entre l’obscurité et la lumière, je suis devenu plus fort, plus spirituel, et un meilleur être humain.  Qu’Allah nous guide tous vers cette vérité vers laquelle j’ai moi-même été guidé.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Vor meiner Konvertierung zum Islam lebte ich mein Leben als Jude.  Obwohl meine Familie nicht traditionell war, lernte ich das Judentum von traditionellen Juden.  Ich ging zu einer orthodoxen jüdischen Synagoge und zu einer orthodoxen jüdischen Schule.  Ich lebte und lebe immer noch in einer jüdischen Gemeinde in den USA, wo es wenig Vielfalt gibt.  Und da das Judentum so sehr in mein Leben involviert war, hatte ich keine nicht-jüdischen Freunde.  Aber vor etwa einem Jahr fing ich an, häufiger online zu chatten und meine email-Liste füllte sich immer mehr mit Muslimen.  Ich entwickelte ein starkes Interesse daran, andere Religionen ebenso wie meine zu studieren.  Besondere Aufmerksamkeit widmete ich dem Islam, denn ich wusste, dass es eine Religion ist, die nicht so viel anders ist als das Judentum.  Wir haben viele gemeinsame Propheten (Friede sei mit ihnen allen), Sitten, Werte, und was am wichtigsten ist, wir beten denselben Gott an - Allah.  Obwohl ich vieles über den Islam kannte und wusste, dass es eine friedliche Religion ist, kann ich nicht sagen, ich hätte keine Stereotypen gehabt.  Ich hatte das Glück, viele Muslime online zu kennen, einer davon ist meine Freundin[1]<\/a> die ich als meine Führung im Islam betrachte.  Sie hat mich zu den Türen des Islam geführt, und Allah hat mich durch den Rest geleitet [...]<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ich entschloss mich, den Glauben näher zu betrachten.  Als ich dies tat, entdeckte ich Mängel an meiner eigenen Religion.  Nach dem Alten Testament hat der große Prophet Aaron die schlimmstmögliche Sünde begangen.  Aufgrund des Drucks, den sein Volk auf ihn ausübte, während sie auf die Rückkehr Moses mit der Thora vom Berg Sinai warteten, baute er einen Götzen. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Wie konnte ein großer Prophet je eine dieser drei Sünden begehen, die so groß sind, dass man lieber den Tod wählen würde, als sie zu begehen?  Im Qur´an kommt Moses herab und sieht, wie die Juden das Goldene Kalb anbeten.  Zuerst denkt er, es wäre ein Bildnis, das Aaron gebaut habe, und er war wütend auf ihn; später findet er heraus, dass es andere Hebräer gewesen sind, die diesen Götzen geschaffen haben.  Von dieser Geschichte kann man viel lernen. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Würde einem Volk, das von Gott geleitet wird, eine solche Sünde vergeben werden?  Meine Ansicht von dieser Geschichte passt zu der islamischen Sichtweise, dass das Alte Testament mit der Zeit verändert wurde.  In der Vergangenheit hat es viele Cohaneem (Religiöse Führer im Heiligen Tempel) gegeben, die korrupt waren.   Konnte es nicht leicht für sie möglich gewesen sein, das Judentum so zu verändern, um es leichter einzuhalten und weniger zeitaufwendig zu machen und um mit ihrem Beruf mehr Geld einzunehmen? <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Eine weiterer erstaunlicher Faktor, der mich zum Islam geführt hat, ist die wissenschaftliche Wahrheit, die im Qur´an beschrieben wird.  Der Qur´an erwähnte die Embryonalentwicklung lange bevor die Wissenschaft sie entdeckt hat.  <\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Und wahrlich, Wir erschufen den Menschen aus einer Substanz aus Lehm.  Alsdann setzten Wir ihn als Samentropfen an eine sichere Ruhestätte.  Dann bildeten Wir den Tropfen zu einem Blutklumpen; dann bildeten Wir den Blutklumpen zu einem Fleischklumpen; dann bildeten Wir aus dem Fleischklumpen Knochen; dann bekleideten Wir die Knochen mit Fleisch; dann entwickelten Wir es zu einer anderen Schöpfung. So sei denn Allah gepriesen, der beste Schöpfer.” (Quran 23:12-14)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Der Qur´an erwähnt ebenfalls, wie Berge geformt sind und spricht über die Lagen der Atmosphäre.  Dies sind nur einige der zahlreichen wissenschaftlichen Entdeckungen, die im Qur´an bereits 1400 Jahre bevor sie die Wissenschaft entdeckte,  erwähnt wurden.  <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Hier ist einer der Schlüsselfaktoren, die mich dazu führten, mein Herz zu erkunden, um die Wahrheit des Lebens zu finden.  Auf arabisch kommt das Wort Islam von salama, was “sich hingeben” bedeutet; “Reinheit” und “Frieden” kommen von der gleichen Wurzel.  Die Person unterwirft sich dem Einen, Barmherzigsten und Wohltätigsten Allah; während andere Religionen nach Menschen benannt wurden: Judentum kommt vom Stamm Judea, Christentum von Jesus Christus usw.  Islam ist ein Wort, das von einem Verb abgeleitet wird; jeder, der sich Allah unterwirft, und an alle Propheten glaubt, ist ein wahrer Muslim.  Viele der großartigen Propheten des Alten Testaments haben vor dem Judentum und Judea gelebt; sie unterwarfen sich Gott und daher waren sie Muslime.  Und wir sollten so leben, wie die Propheten gelebt haben, denn sie waren die besten menschlichen Wesen.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Angesichts der Tatsache, dass ich noch sehr jung bin und in einer ganz jüdischen Umgebung lebe, wird es schwierig sein, dass mein Glauben akzeptiert wird.  Meine Eltern und Verwandten sind sehr respektvoll, doch ich bin mir nicht sicher, wie sie reagieren werden, wenn ihr eigener Sohn zum Islam konvertiert.  Im Moment bin ich nicht in der Lage, ein islamisches Leben voll auszuleben, aber Allah sei Dank, kann ich wenigstens 5x am Tag beten, ich kann Islam online studieren und schließlich kann ich offen an Einen Gott glauben und diese Gefühle zum Ausdruck bringen.  Auf manche Weise kann es sehr schwierig sein.  Ich werde emotionaler als die meisten Menschen es werden wenn ich über etwas diskutiere, wo Muslime involviert sind, zB über den Mittleren Osten.  Wenn ich über Israel rede, meine ganze Familie unterstützt Israel und kennt nicht die Wahrheit, wie es den Palästinensern dort ergeht, doch ich denke, sie sollten die Palästinenser anständig behandeln.  Und wenn sie über diese Situation reden, komme ich oft in eine offensive Position, insbesondere wenn sie mit der Ansicht kommen, dass es das „Jüdische Heilige Land“ und das „Gelobte Land“ sei. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Weil ich meinen Eltern noch nicht von meiner Konvertierung zum Islam erzählt habe, kann ich nicht an Gebeten in der Moschee teilnehmen.  Wie ich zuvor erwähnte, gibt es in meiner Gemeinde wenig Vielfalt und alle Moscheen sind weit entfernt.  Ich habe nie die Gelegenheit gehabt, die Schahada vor Zeugen auszusprechen[2]<\/a> obwohl ich die Schahada vor dem besten aller Zeugen ausgesprochen habe - Allah.  Wenn ich 16 bin, in ungefähr einem Jahr, werde ich zur Moschee fahren können, in scha Allah (wenn Allah will).  Das wichtigste ist, die Person, die ich bin, zu verbessern.  Ich versuche, meine Freunde zu meiden, die Drogen nehmen, Pornos sehen, Alkohol trinken und stehlen.  Es ist nicht immer leicht, sich von engen Freunden zu distanzieren, aber ich versuche mein Bestes, Allah zuliebe.  Und ich hoffe, mit der Zeit wird meine Persönlichkeit so werden, wie Allah es von uns allen zu sehen wünscht.   <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Was den Qur´an angeht, ist mein Rat für euch, ihn selbst zu lesen.  Wenn du dir voreingenommene Websites ansiehst, wirst du nicht den ganzen Inhalt eines Verses zu sehen bekommen. […]<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Durch diese ganze Erfahrung habe ich festgestellt, dass ich den Islam nicht gefunden, sondern wieder gefunden habe; ich bin nicht konvertiert, ich bin wieder zurückgekehrt; und auf meiner Reise aus der Dunkelheit ins Licht hat es mich noch stärker, spiritueller und zu einem besseren Menschen gemacht.  Möge Allah uns alle zur Wahrheit leiten, zu der ich geleitet wurde.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Antes de minha conversão ao Islã, vivia minha vida como judeu. Embora minha família não fosse tradicional, aprendi o Judaísmo de judeus tradicionais. Fui para uma sinagoga ortodoxa e para uma escola judaica ortodoxa. Morava e continuo a morar em uma comunidade judaica nos Estados Unidos, na qual existe pouca diversidade. E considerando o quanto o Judaísmo estava envolvido em minha vida, não tinha amigos não judeus. Mas aproximadamente um ano atrás, comecei a bater papo online com frequência e minha lista de contatos de e-mail lentamente começou a ficar cada vez mais cheia de muçulmanos. Desenvolvi um forte interesse por estudar outras religiões e também a minha própria religião. Prestei especial atenção ao Islã, porque sabia que não era uma religião muito diferente do Judaísmo. Compartilhamos muitos dos profetas (que a paz esteja sobre todos eles), morais, valores e, o mais importante, adoramos o mesmo Deus - Allah. Embora soubesse muito sobre o Islã e que era uma religião pacífica, não posso dizer que não tinha estereótipos. Tive sorte porque conheci muitos muçulmanos online, entre eles minha namorada[1]<\/a>que considero meu guia para o Islã. Ela me levou até as portas do Islã e Allah me levou pelo resto do caminho[...]<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Decidi me aprofundar na fé. Ao fazê-lo descobri falhas em minha própria religião. De acordo com o Velho Testamento, o grande profeta Aarão cometeu o pior pecado possível. Devido à pressão feita sobre ele pelo povo enquanto esperavam Moisés retornar com o Torá do Monte Sinai, construiu um ídolo.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Como um grande profeta poderia cometer um dos três pecados que são tão grandes que se preferiria a morte antes de cometê-los? No Alcorão Moisés desce e vê os judeus adorando o bezerro de ouro. A princípio ele pensa que é criação de Aarão e fica zangado com ele; depois descobre que outros hebreus tinham criado o ídolo. Pode-se aprender muito dessa história.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Uma nação de um povo liderado por Deus seria realmente perdoada por tal pecado? Minha visão sobre essa história está de acordo com a visão islâmica de que o Velho Testamento foi alterado ao longo dos anos. No passado existiram Cohaneem (líderes religiosos no Templo Sagrado) que eram corruptos. Não seria possível para eles terem facilmente mudado o Judaísmo para facilitar e reduzir o tempo de sua observância para ganharem mais dinheiro com suas profissões?<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Outro fator surpreendente que me levou ao Islã foi a verdade científica escrita no Alcorão. O Alcorão menciona o desenvolvimento embriônico humano muito antes de ser descoberto pela ciência.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

“Criamos o homem de essência de barro. Em seguida, fizemo-lo uma gota de esperma, que inserimos em um lugar seguro. Então, convertemos a gota de esperma em algo que se agarra, transformamos o coágulo em feto e convertemos o feto em ossos; depois, revestimos os ossos de carne; então, o desenvolvemos em outra criatura. Bendito seja Deus, Criador por excelência.”  (Alcorão 23:12-14)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

O Alcorão também menciona como as montanhas são formadas e fala sobre as camadas da atmosfera! Essas são apenas umas poucas das muitas descobertas científicas mencionadas no Alcorão 1.400 anos antes de serem descobertas pela ciência.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Aqui está um dos fatores chave que me levaram a explorar meu coração para descobrir a verdade da vida. Em árabe a palavra Islã vem de salama que significa “se submeter”; “pureza” e “paz” vêm da mesma raiz. A pessoa se submete a Allah, o Único, o Misericordioso e o Clemente; enquanto que outras religiões têm seus nomes tirados de pessoas: Judaísmo vem da tribo de Judá, Cristianismo vem de Jesus Cristo, etc. Islã é uma palavra derivada de um verbo; qualquer um que se submeta a Allah e acredite em todos os profetas é um verdadeiro muçulmano. Muitos dos grandes profetas mencionados no Velho Testamento viveram antes do Judaísmo e de Judá; se submeteram a Deus e, portanto, eram todos muçulmanos. E devemos viver como os profetas viveram, porque eram grandes seres humanos.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Considerando minha situação de ser muito jovem e morar em uma área só de judeus, seria difícil para mim ter minhas crenças aceitas. Meus pais e parentes são muito respeitosos, mas não estou certo de como reagiriam se seu próprio filho se revertesse ao Islã. Então, por enquanto não sou capaz de viver uma vida islâmica plenamente, mas graças a Allah sou capaz de orar cinco vezes ao dia, estudar Islã online e, pelo menos, posso acreditar em Deus abertamente e expressar esses sentimentos. Em certos aspectos pode ser muito difícil. Tornei-me mais emotivo que a maioria das pessoas quando debato algo envolvendo muçulmanos, por exemplo o Oriente Médio. Quando falo sobre Israel, toda minha família apoia Israel e não sabe a verdade do que se passa com os palestinos, mas acho que eles devem ter um tratamento apropriado para os palestinos. E quando falam sobre essa situação, fico facilmente ofendido, especialmente se levantam a ideia de que é a “Terra Santa judaica” e “Terra Prometida.”<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Como não contei a meus pais sobre minha reversão ao Islã, não posso frequentar as orações na mesquita. Como afirmei antes, minha área tem pouca diversidade e todas as mesquitas ficam longe. Nunca tive a oportunidade de fazer a shahada diante de testemunhas[2]<\/a> embora tenha dito a shahada<\/em> para a melhor testemunha de todas - Allah. Quando eu tiver 16 anos em aproximadamente um ano, serei capaz de dirigir até a mesquita, insh’Allah (se Deus quiser). A coisa mais importante é aperfeiçoar a pessoa que sou. Tento evitar meus amigos que usam drogas, assistem pornografia, consomem álcool e roubam. Nem sempre é fácil evitar amigos próximos, mas tento ao máximo por Allah. E espero que com o passar do tempo minha personalidade alcance o que Allah espera de todos nós.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ao estudar o Alcorão meu conselho para você é ler por si mesmo.Pesquisando em websites preconceituosos você não será capaz de ver o conteúdo completo de um versículo. [...]<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ao longo de toda essa experiência descobri que não encontrei o Islã, eu abracei novamente o Islã; nem me converti, me reverti; e em minha jornada das trevas para a luz, fiquei mais forte, mais espiritual e um ser humano melhor. Que Allah guie a todos nós para a verdade que fui guiado.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
