Hadeeth: “I am the most eloquent of those who speak the language of daad (i.e., Arabic)”
Is this hadeeth saheeh: “I am the most eloquent of those who speak the language of daad (i.e., Arabic)”?.

With regard to the hadeeth “I am the most eloquent of those who speak the language of daad (i.e., Arabic), but I am from Quraysh” – al-Haafiz Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said concerning the tafseer of the latter part of Soorat al-Faatihah: It has no basis. Al-‘Ajlooni said inKashf al-Khafa’ (1/200): It says in al-Laali’: Its meaning is correct, but it has no basis, as Ibn Katheer and other hafizes said. No isnaad is known for it. End quote.
