No doubt that Islam is the religion of mercy so it is interested in making worship of Allah easy even if while travelling. Thus it legislates shortening and combining the prayers, praying the supererogatory prayers on the mount and breaking the obligatory fast. In addition, it legislates wiping on socks for three days unlike those not traveling who wiping only for a day.
